TOEIC p54 第19和20題的答案錯誤。是剛好要對調 C 19. I’ll be home for dinner unless the boss asks me to work overtime. ※ Unless (除非)為”附屬連接詞” 用在表示假設的條件句， 必須留意句子動詞。 Unless所說的條件，都是未出現或是未發生的， 但是必須要簡單現在式，不能用將來式或其他時態。 A. 20. Make sure your get the contracts signed before you meet with the lawyer. ※本題測試”使役動詞”用法 受格是人 人(主格) make/have/ let 人(受格) + 原形動詞 人 help 人(受格) + (to可有可無) 動詞 get 人(受格) +to 動詞 受格為事物，接受動作，後面動詞則為 pp(過去分詞) have/get +物 +PP 因此本題答案為signed 但必須注意若是let + 事、物 + 原形動詞，例: Let it be! 另外補充說明p.46 no 8. The boss had me _______all of last month’s sales figures. a. to check b. checked c.checking d. checks 此處選項沒有原形動詞可以選擇。 但卻可以選擇Ving 表示持續讓某人一直做某事 因此可選擇C. 以上為使役動詞的用法。

針對您最後第8及第10題，我有些補充： 決定時態的是don’t 還是was ， could. might. would, should 雖然是過去式的情態動詞，但是很多時候，它們是指「現在或未來發生的事」。 (英文文法聖經；寂天出版p.88) could 可能：That guy could be your brother. might 可能：I might be persuaded to change my mind. would 會：I would leave those bear cubs alone. should 應該：You should visit the county fair this weekend. 所以第8題，使用don’t沒有錯，如果我們不好好款待這些來自外地的買家的話，他就很可能不會給我們這筆大訂單了。might not place 答案中的might不是過去式的用法，而是「可能性較小」的意思。 同理而針對第10題，答案的would 可用做視為「現在或未來發生的事」，解釋為「會」，所以您詢問的問題，到底是依照don’t 或是was來解這題，我個人的意見是依照don’t 來看，意思是，「如果我認為健身房當時對我沒有任何幫助的話，我就不會再續約了。」
